Live Pterosaur

Explorers: ropen seekers in Papua New Guinea

Those exploring Papua New Guinea in the late 20th Century and early 21st Century, searching for living pterosaurs, were mostly creationists. They interviewed native eyewitnesses and looked for the creature called "ropen" on Umboi Island; for years, they succeeded with the interviews. But in late 2006, Paul Nation, of Texas, found an apparent colony of the creatures in a remote mountainous area on the mainland. After observing several creatures, on several nights, he videotaped one or two of them from a distance. See http://www.prfree.com/index.php?cur=index&action=preview&id=58416
