Whitcomb Family Daycare serves nutritious meals within the standards given by Comprehensive Child Development (Food Program). The CCD, funded by the state of California, reviews meals served in the Whitcomb home, assuring compliance with state standards, although Gladys Whitcomb would serve nutritious meals regardless of regulations (as she did before becoming part of the CCD program).

The parents of the children in the Whitcomb Family Daycare do not pay extra for food, for it is paid for by CCD.
