Cryptozoology Book Published (Nature / Wildlife)

The second edition of Live Pterosaurs in America was published on November 20, 2010, and the cryptozoology book is now available online through Createspace (owned by Amazon). Direct access from Amazon is expected within hours or days, possibly as early as late November 22nd.

How does this book on living pterosaurs differ from Searching for Ropens (which is also in its second edition)? SFR, especially in its first edition, is strongly pro-creationist, although it is not pro-YEC (Young Earth Creationist). Live Pterosaurs in America, on the other hand, may be enjoyed by readers of many different origin beliefs. The more obvious difference, however, is that LPA is mostly about pterosaur sightings in the contiguous forty-eight states of America, but SFR is mostly about pterosaur sightings in the southwest Pacific, especially in Papua New Guinea.

New to the second edition of Live Pterosaurs in America, an account of the sighting by Eskin Kuhn is in the Appendix. Here is an excerpt (page 123):

How rare the ropen pair, in daylight, daring sortie in the air! Notwithstanding rarity, two long-tailed intruders flew over the U.S. military base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, mesmerizing the marine Eskin Kuhn. The eyewitness, now living in Ohio, I interviewed early in 2010, by phone.

How fortunate that Eskin Kuhn was the marine who stood outside the new barracks on a particular sunny day around mid-July, 1971! While the other marines were hanging out inside, this talented artist was enjoying the lovely weather and looking out toward the ocean. He would soon be dashing inside to grab a sergeant to be a second witness (too late), and would soon thereafter sketch, by memory, what he had seen with his own eyes.
