Some Obscure Pterosaur Sightings

Sighting in Modesto, California

I saw it and reacted by shouting, “What da xXXx is that?” And right on cue, mid-flight, it turned its head and looked right at me. Its leathery wings “Tri-Flapping” like no bird I’ve ever saw. It was big as a Doberman, all black, a long tail . . .

My sighting happened between 11:30 am – Noon, in the “La Loma/Dry Creek” area of Modesto, CA. . . . like a “Primordial Jungle or Forest.” . . . The one I saw was the size of a Doberman, but with large wings and dull black, no feathers or fur. Its tail was almost as long as its body . . .

Sighting in Los Angeles, California

I live in Los Angeles, born and raised. I saw one of those at night. I was a personal assistant to a family and picked up the . . . kid from a birthday party and we both saw this. Five seconds later we both turned to each other . . . and he started freakin out!….we both described it. It wasn’t black it was brown almost like a bat wing. . . . [It was] huge and with one swoop cleared over the mountain top.

Oxnard, California

In May of 2008 I saw a pair of what I could identify as Pterosaurs, flying in a generally south-south-west direction over Oxnard, CA. They were at about 800 feet altitude, in a straight glide, no wing beats.

I estimate they had wing spans of 10 to 12 feet. The legs trailing out behind it made it clear it was not a bird, and it had a distinct shape to the head as well. I know what I saw.

Massachusetts

I live in Massachusetts and I saw one over the fairgrounds being attacked by . . . [about twelve] crows . . . it [the creature being chased] was the size of my minivan or larger. I know I sound full of it but that’s what I saw. It was flying very low: 50 or 60 [feet high] at most.

Little Known Pterosaur Sighting Reports

I am SURE I saw this bird/dinosaur, or something very similar yesterday, mid-day, sunny . . . It made no sound, didn’t flap its wings, and was enormous. My recollection focuses on the wingspan which reminded me of [a] small bush plane . . .

Biology Professors and Pterosaur Sightings

Four large universities in the Western USA were selected for the survey, with no surprises in the results. (No university with significant YEC influence was chosen for this survey . . . [Only less than 2% of the biology professors returned answers to the questionnaire.]
