I recently received an email from an eyewitness who encountered an apparent pterosaur in Alabama. Let’s compare it with other sightings in the southeastern United States.
Pterosaur in Alabama
“I just wanted to let you know, my husband and I saw one in Alabama a few years ago. I have been searching recently to find out what it is. I have no doubt this is what it was. My husband and I said it looked like a dinosaur. It was flying in front of our car across an open highway. It’s wingspan was probably between 8-10 feet.”
Question: What time of day or night was the sighting?
Answer: It was during the day, late morning.
Q: Did you see a tail on the flying creature?
A: Yes, there was a tail.
Q: About how high was it flying above the ground?
A: It was flying about level or a little higher than our car windshield level in our suv.
Q: Could give me an estimate of the distant you were from the creature, especially when it was closest to you?
A: I would say about half a football field, maybe a little less.
Q: What year was the sighting?
A: 2010
Betweem 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., a woman was driving in Franklin, Georgia, on July 18, 2012, when she and her two sons saw what they called a “flying dinosaur” with a long tail.
Flying Creature in North Carolina
A ropen or something similar flew over a woman’s car near Asheville, North Carolina. She said that the creature had no feathers and that it was “huge.”
This eyewitness gives her real name: Susan Wooten, who encountered a pterosaur “as big as any car” while she was driving one day on a country highway in South Carolina.
