A few days ago, I received a message about a sighting in North Carolina:
I’ve got your book ‘Searching for Ropens’ and have seen that you’ve written a newer one re: sightings in America. My purpose for writing is because of a conversation I had with a friend yesterday. . . . She told me of an experience she had while driving on a major highway near Asheville, NC when a HUGE winged black creature flew very low over her car.
She felt this ‘creature’ had more to do with something demonic. While I believe the demonic is a very real possibility, I am also aware, thanks to your book, that there could very possibly be still-surviving flying dinosaurs. She didn’t see any feathers, feet or head but described it as black, having ‘sharp edges’, no feathers and HUGE.
She has NO idea that I have any interest in modern-day dinosaurs or cryptozoology because we have other common interests.
More Sightings Near Winder, Georgia
In the third edition of my nonfiction cryptozoology book Live Pterosaurs in America, I gave several pages to the two sightings near Winder, Georgia. When that edition of the book was published, however, the eyewitness was anonymous, and I had no knowledge of her subsequent sightings in that area.
